Summary: Part 1 introduces foundational Medical Spanish for physical therapists and PTAs, focusing on basic clinical communication used during patient interviews and treatment sessions. Participants learn essential phrases for greetings, subjective history taking, pain and symptom description, and simple movement and exercise commands. The session also covers core rehabilitation vocabulary related to anatomy and mobility, with an emphasis on safe, clear communication and appropriate use of interpreter services. Interactive practice helps build confidence in basic, high-frequency clinical interactions.

Summary: Part 2 builds on foundational skills by applying Medical Spanish to active rehabilitation settings, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, and patient education. Participants learn to give functional treatment instructions, safety cues, and home exercise guidance in Spanish. The session also includes a focused review of anatomical terminology to support accurate communication during treatment. Case-based practice reinforces practical use of Spanish in common PT scenarios, improving confidence and usability in clinical practice.
